A swarm of spectators flooded to Mitchell Street, Newcastle, to watch two men fighting outside the Crockets Hotel pub
The fight was streamed on Facebook Live with footage showing the amateur boxing match and scores of onlookers cheering the fighters on. Among the vehicles parked by the hotel was a lorry which was acting as a makeshift stand for spectators to get a better view of the action. ‘Officers attended and on arrival, a number of those present dispersed without issue and neighbourhood policing teams remained in the area to carry out patrols.’
