Neil Wolfe and his business, Neil Construction, will have to pay $625,873 in restitution to 19 consumers for breaking state consumer protection laws at least 71 times, according to the attorney general’s office.
In response, Wolfe said the “labor shortage” caused delays in project completion and that he prides himself on excellent communication skills.. “If a dispute ever occurred, I was simply on the ‘defense’! Construction companies are dealing with a person’s most valuable asset, their home. While disputes can and do occur, offensively starting a quarrel or yelling at a consumer would definitely be quite unprofessional.
Wolfe is currently serving three years in the Belmont Correctional Institution for a criminal theft conviction in a separate case involving a consumer he defrauded. If you purchase a product or register for an account through one of the links on our site, we may receive compensation.
