'Hubie Halloween' trailer: AdamSandler enlists an all-star cast to solve a murder
In the first film since Sandler's award-winning turn inthe actor-comedian plays the well-meaning and good-natured, if not slightly oddball, community volunteer Hubie DuBois. Despite being treated like a joke by the adults and children of his hometown, Salem, Massachusetts, who consider scaring Hubie a tradition, Hubie takes his Halloween night patrol duties seriously.
In fact, he may be treating his job too seriously, as the man who claims he knows how quickly the"spooky can get out of hand" is seen repeatedly appearing in the office of James' police chief, informing him of everything from expired bacon at the grocery store to hearing voices in the sewer.
As people begin getting snatched in mid-air by an unseen force, Hubie suddenly finds himself caught in the middle of a real murder case. With a mayor unwilling to cancel Halloween, Hubie sets out — without the support of the town's police department — to get to the bottom of the case. Rob Schneider, Michael Chiklis, June Squibb, George Wallace, China Anne McClain and Paris Berelc also star in the film co-produced and co-written by Sandler. The latest film in Sandler's
