As for the buds themselves, they are lightweight at just 4.9 grams and are 29mm long; 7mm shorter than the predecessor. The FreeBuds 5i also has silicone ear tips for better noise isolation for the ANC feature. For calls, the FreeBuds 5i comes with AI Noise Cancellation which can distinguish and enhance voice using AI neural network algorithm to keep calls crystal clear. Besides that, the earbuds support Hi-Res certification, LDAC HD audio codec and multi-EQ effects.

In Malaysia, the FreeBuds 5i is priced at RM399 and will be available nationwide starting 3 February 2023. It can be purchased via all HUAWEI Experience Stores, HUAWEI’s Official Website, HUAWEI Official Store on Shopee, HUAWEI Flagship Store on Lazada and authorised HUAWEI Partner Stores such as SenHeng, senQ, Harvey Norman and Urban Republic.
