A Houston police officer has been taken to the hospital after being shot on the northwest side of town Monday evening.
Snag these new Insider Deals before they are gone– A Houston police officer was taken to the hospital after being shot on the northwest side of town Monday evening.HPD Commanders and PIO are en route to a shooting of an officer in the 6000 block of Hollister St. around 8 p.m.According to HPD’s Interim Police Chief Larry Satterwhite, two officer’s responded to the location after receiving a call for help at 7:58 p.m.
The officers arrived at 8:07 p.m. and were flagged down by family members who told them the suspect was around the corner of a building and was assaulting people. The officers moved around the corner of the building where the suspect was. As they were approaching, someone yelled out that the suspect had a gun.
Satterwhite said the officers didn’t fire any shots back at the suspect. The suspect was taken into custody.
