How you — yes, you — can be a judge for the Colorado Cannabis Cup (via thknwco)
has returned to Colorado and is currently seeking judges to try locally-made products, including flower, topicals, edibles and concentrates and help determine the best of their kind available in the Centennial State.
Entries into The Cannabis Cup, started in Amsterdam in 1988, were traditionally judged by panels of experts, but in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, “High Times” reshaped the event into a virtual format and opened judging to the general public. It’s now billed as a “People’s Choice” competition and anyone 21 years or older is eligible to judge. In addition to Colorado, competitions are also taking place in Michigan, Illinois, California, and Alaska.
Judging is not limited to longtime consumers and no prior competition experience is necessary. All you need to do is stop by one of High Times partner dispensaries and purchase a judging kit in one of 12 categories. Or heck, purchase and judge in multiple categories if you’re so inclined.
