“Everybody in that linebacking room is a dog,” Toure told NJ Advance Media on Tuesday. “I tell them every week, when we go out and do our warm-ups as a position group, I tell them ‘I feel like we have the best linebacking group in the country.’ We just got to go out there and show it every week. We have guys who are ready to play. It’s next man up and they’re all ready.
“That one hurt, honestly, because with us, it’s deeper than football,” Toure said. “That’s my brother. I know his family. We actually spend quality time together. I love him like he’s my actual blood brother. So to see him go through that, it hurt. I love playing next to him. Right now, just trying to keep his spirits up before he goes into surgery, and after, I’m going to continue to check on him and make sure he’s good.
“He knows his job,” Schiano said. “He does a good job. He works really hard. He’s a great teammate, helps everybody develop, very smart guy, dependable guy.”
