March Madness is set for the men's brackets. The San Diego State Aztecs will square off against the University of Alabama Birmingham.
SAN DIEGO — The San Diego State Aztecs knew they had played well enough to make the tournament even without the automatic bid that New Mexico received with theirover the Aztecs on Saturday. But the team still had to wait like everyone else to find out what seed they would get and who they would play when the announcements were made during the Selection Sunday show.
The Aztecs received a #5 seed in the NCAA Tournament East Region and will play against the #12 seed University of Alabama at Birmingham. If San Diego State wins their game on Friday, they will get the chance to play either #4 Auburn or #13 Yale in Spokane on Sunday, March 24.
