Hollywood's top performers honor their own in the 2026 Actor Awards, and we'll tell you everything you need to know to watch the event
If you don't recognize the name of the Actor Awards, that's because it was formerly known as the Screen Actors Guild Awards prior to this year. SAG-AFTRA has rebranded the event as the Actor Awards, but it remains one of the most prestigious gatherings of the awards season.
As the name suggests, these awards are chosen by the actors themselves, and it's the ultimate validation of their peers.What Time Is the 2026 Actor Awards Ceremony? The 2026 Actor Awards is scheduled to begin at 5:00 p.m. PST/8:00 p.m. EST on Sunday, March 1. Red carpet coverage will begin at 4:00 p.m. PST/7:00 p.m. EST. The event is being held at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.This year's Actor Awards are streaming exclusively on Netflix, but the show won't be there forever. Netflix will only keep the video posted for 28 days after the event.Appropriately enough, this year's host is the star of Netflix's hit romance series Nobody Wants This, Kristen Bell. Netflix is also streaming Veronica Mars, the teen detective drama that made Bell a star. This will be the third time that Bell has hosted the Actor Awards, and the second year in a row.SAG-AFTRA has yet to disclose who will be presenting at this year's 2026 Actor Awards. But aside from Bell, the one celebrity guaranteed to be on stage is Harrison Ford, who will be receiving a special lifetime achievement award.Since the Actor Awards are divided by film and television, performers from both mediums will be honored at the event.
