Big names are expected at the highly-anticipated opening ceremonies for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Instead of a traditional march into a stadium, about 10,500 athletes will parade on more than 90 boats on the Seine River for 3.7 miles. This will start the ceremony, not mark the end of it, another break from tradition.

Those in Paris who could not get tickets will be able to watch the ceremony on 80 giant screens set up throughout the city.
