Tonight's interview, starting at 9 p.m. EDT, is the first sit-down interview that presidential candidate Kamala Harris has granted since becoming the nominee.

CNN ’s Dana Bash will interview Harris and vice-presidential candidate Tim Walz on Thursday afternoon at an undisclosed location in Savannah, Georgia.The interview will air unedited on CNN starting at 9 p.m. EDT. It is not known how long it will last.
This interview is particularly significant given the short race between Harris and former President Trump, which began only last month when President Biden dropped out of the race and endorsed Harris. They say she has not spoken often enough off-script about her policies and how they might differ from those of the Biden administration.Since launching her campaign last month. Harris has successfully framed herself as a candidate of change, distancing herself from an unpopular President Biden. But she’ll need to avoid any impression of snubbing her boss.
