The Buccaneers’ place atop the NFC South gets put to the test by a Falcons team that surges into Week 5 off a big 26-24 win over the New Orleans Saints. Tampa Bay hung a 33-16 loss on the Philadelphia Eagles to improve to 3-1 and bounce back from an ugly Week 3 loss to the Denver Broncos . Baker Mayfield picked apart the Eagles secondary to the tune of 30-of-47 passing for 347 yards with two touchdowns as the Bucs started fast and successfully shortened the game holding the lead.
While the Falcons lost the battle of the box score with the Saints, who had a 25-14 edge in first downs, they scored two defensive touchdowns and got a 58-yard game-winning field goal from Younghoe Koo with :02 left on the clock trailing 24-23.
