Slicing is a hacking mini game that essentially boils down to finding the right glyphs combination through a process of elimination. It typically shows up when you want to access computers, terminals, consoles, and the like, to unlock encrypted files, especially during story quests and in restricted areas. Though there’s a decent tutorial that lays out the basics, it’s not all that clear what to do once you dive into the game itself.Each game gives you eight glyphs to choose from.
Slicing can seem a bit obtuse at first but after a few runs, you’ll get the hang of it and quickly solve the combinations. The time limit is also pretty generous in most cases so don’t worry too much about solving it too fast.
