I don't think I've ever made the exact same grain salad twice—that's the beauty of the category: it bends easily to accommodate whatever cravings strike your fancy, or whatever ingredients you have on hand. Plus they can be made with pretty much any kind of grain you feel like cooking—or whatever you happen to have left over from dinner the night before.
This one's made with wild rice, green beans, shredded chicken, peanuts, and fresh chile peppers and dressed in a lime-sesame dressing.Any grain you like can be turned into a grain salad:
