'I saw that a lot of people go vote and they don't know who they are voting for. So I felt people need to be educated.' For Lopez, the best part of the job is talking with her neighbors. Being a precinct chair has been an opportunity to build a team of like-minded neighbors to knock on doors and engage with voters. It's also rewarding to be in a position to do something about complaints she hears from the community.
