You can change your controller settings in the stance menu to connect as player 2 to help beat Psycho Mantis in the MGS: Master Collection.
One of the most memorable moments in the original Metal Gear Solid was facing off against Psycho Mantis, and the boss battle returns as part of the MGS: Master Collection Vol 1. The MGS: Master Collection Vol 1 includes ports of the biggest three games in the series that debuted on the PlayStation 1 and PlayStation 2. When the game was first released in 1998, the boss battle with Psycho Mantis was truly game-changing, breaking down the fourth wall.
Once the initial cut scene is over and the battle starts Psycho Mantis will be able to read your moves and avoid any attacks, as he did in the original Metal Gear Solid. However, this time there is no second slot to move your controller to.
