By comparison, the Marist College poll found that 53 percent of the registered voters surveyed had a negative view of Trump, against 43 percent who had a positive opinion of the Republican nominee. This gave Trump a net favorability of -8.Separately, a nationwide poll conducted by Morning Consult between August 2-4, found that Trump had a net approval rating of -6.
