cott Maggs, formerly known as Jimmy Niggles, runs a skin-check clinic on the island during Race Week, through his charity Skin Check Champions. With so much colour and action, not only on the water but onshore, we got the run down on some of his personal Race Week highlights over the six-year partnership.I first went to Hamilton Island Race Week as a guest of one of the sponsors. I got talking to this bloke and he kind of quizzed me about my beard.
I bumped into another family, and they said, “If you ever need a car when you’re in Adelaide next, let us know.” I didn’t realise who they were, but I think they started Carsales. I just thought they must have had a big car.| A big highlight of last year for me was the Paspaley White Luncheon on the Friday. By the end of the week, we have wrapped a lot of our responsibilities, so it’s a good one to enjoy. Everyone kicks their shoes off and dances on the sand. It’s a beautiful day.
