The arraignment of Donald Trump was “basically a circus,” says The Post’s Kevin Sheehan. In this episode of “Crime Scene Reporting,” he details the wild scene outside the courthouse on the day of the former president’s arrest in Manhattan, plus how NYPD kept opposing groups of protestors apart.
Sheehan says the police created a “locked down” environment, including chaining and padlocking gates to the park facing the courthouse. He added that it was easy to spot the difference between demonstrators who were for and against Trump. “That’s probably why you didn't see any real tussles because they were shutting them down before they even started,” he said.
