For 100 years, many iconic artists have called Hotel Chelsea home. This summer, after a lengthy renovation, it’s welcoming a new generation of guests.
The newly restored and recently reopened El Quijote restaurant, from inside Hotel Chelsea. The original bar, where Patti Smith and Robert Mapplethorpe were once regulars, remains.
For more than a century, the hotel rooms and residential apartments have been a magnet for painters, actors, dancers, novelists, playwrights and musicians.
