Much of this debate on impartiality in television is being conducted on Twitter. In this frenzied environment, bias is called out – justifiably or falsely – from left, right and centre. Andrew Marr believes the BBC faces a hopeless task in policing the values of everyone on its roster. Marr is part of a BBC talent drain, which includes his colleague Emily Maitlis who left the BBC after being reprimanded in another storm over supposed bias.
