P.J. Walker will make his second start for the Browns on Sunday in Seattle.

Walker started his career in Indianapolis when Ventrone was the special teams coordinator there and Ventrone used him as his scout team kick returner.“He was good,” Ventrone said. “Guys were shocked that he was actually, like, the kick returner.”“When I was , I was just trying to find a way to get on the field as much as I can,” he said. “Find a way to help the team. Anything I needed to do, I was going to do there. That was my mindset when I was there.

After his XFL stint, he landed in Carolina and spent three seasons there, with last season presenting him an opportunity to string together starts for the first time in his career.“My first two years , I only played one game each year,” Walker said. “Last year I was able to play five. So, for me to just get that and then get in the rhythm and go play, it feels good. You get used to guys around you and feeling the offense.

“I don’t ,” he said. “I was a part of a game last year that a flag shouldn’t have been thrown, it was thrown and we lost. So at the end of the day, things happen. Things don’t go as planned or the way you think it should go, but it happens.”when D.J. Moore took off his helmet after scoring what appeared to be the game-winning touchdown. Kicker Eddy Pineiro missed a 48-yard extra point and the Panthers lost in overtime.

Stefanski announced Walker as the starter on Wednesday, so he will have a full week of practice with the first team. He has also been getting help from Watson.
