Record-breaking heat is expected this weekend in Utah.

Temperatures are expected to drop back just a bit on Sunday, when it will hit the upper 90s, possibly 100, in Salt Lake City. And triple digit temperatures could continue through at least the middle of next week. According to the National Weather Service, most valleys will see highs of 100 or more and it could once again hit 104 in Salt Lake City next week. There’s no rain in the forecast.
It will be even hotter in southern Utah, where it could hit 110 in or near parts of Washington County over the next few days. In St. George, a high of about 100 is expected on Thursday, which will be the coolest day in the next week. The forecast for Friday is 103, and it’s expected to be 105-106 every day from Saturday through Wednesday.
