A photograph of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry at the 2022 One Young World Summit has been selected for Kate Middleton's patronage, the National Portrait Gallery.

On Thursday, Harriman posted an Instagram sharing that a black-and-white portrait of the couple holding hands at the 2022 One Young World Summit is now a part of the prestigious collection. The event took place in Manchester, England, on Sept. 5, 2022, just days before Harry's grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, died. At the time, the couple was in Europe for several events, including the summit, and stayed in England for the queen's funeral.
"I am humbled and proud to announce that my portrait of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex is now part of the permanent collection of the National Portrait Gallery," Harriman wrote alongside a video. "Dare to dream folks!"The accomplishment also has a tie to Harry and Meghan's sister-in-law, Kate Middleton. The Princess of Wales has been the royal patron of the National Portrait Gallery since shortly after her 2011 wedding to Prince William.
