From opinion columnist elviadiaz1: If his wife's election audit involvement was too much for Arizona Supreme Court Justice Clint Bolick, why aren't her efforts to stop Proposition 208?
That’s good.
Oddly, Justice Bolick didn’t bother to do the same with Proposition 208, the voter-approved measure to fund public schools that Republicans want to strike down. His wife, as a lawmaker, also has a beef over it.urging Congress to reject the electoral votes for Biden. That, effectively, means she wanted Congress to overturn the 2020 presidential election.
Weird reasoning at best. Any reasonable person would find this a clear and convincing conflict of interest. The entanglement is complicated, drawing little public attention. The couple seems to be banking on that to keep doing their thing without much public scrutiny over their connection.Shawnna Bolick has made no qualms about Proposition 208, which would tax the wealthiest Arizonans and raise an estimated $800 million annually to help fund public K-12 schools.
It sent the case back to a lower court to determine if the tax revenues to be raised actually exceed the spending limit.
