How I became attorney general in Texas Boys State | Opinion
Originally, I tried my luck at state party chair. For this most coveted party position, I ran against eight other candidates on a platform that patriotism would unite the Nationalist Party. I lost. Badly. The winner, a competitive baseball player from a rural town, appealed to what 17-year-old Texas boys liked: laughs, Christianity and strong conservative values.
I confirmed that as Texas Boys State attorney general, I would prosecute corruption and hold all public servants responsible for their misdeeds. Clearly, this spoke to my party propelling me to win a runoff to receive the Nationalist Party nomination for attorney general.
