How has redlining affected the black community in Dallas?
Black History Month is a time to celebrate black achievement throughout history. It is also a time to reflect on the past and learn from it so that our future looks better.
Redlining is a form of financial discrimination, first coined in the sixties but has been happening to the black community for years before then. This discrimination prevented Black people from getting loans amongst other financial help which created a domino effect on other parts of their lives.
