For the uninitiated, it is one of the most popular fantasy tabletop role-playing games in the world and has experienced a recent resurgence in popularity, thanks in part to TV, movies and actual play web series or podcasts, where D&D is played in real-time.
Then, KPBS arts reporter Beth Accomando previews the films and festivities of the San Diego Asian Film Festival. Plus, Pulitzer Prize-winning author Viet Thanh Nguyen is out with his latest children's book,"Simone," which follows a Vietnamese American girl as her life is upended by a wildfire. Nguyen sat down with KPBS arts reporter Julia Dixon Evans to talk about"Simone," his memoir and his journey through memory, identity and history.
