Does Starfield have the best graphics?
Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Starfield is Bethesda's latest title, and its space setting gives it a massive map open to exploration. With such a large game, there are naturally concerns about how well it runs and if it's riddled with glitches, a situation that has plagued other Bethesda releases at launch.
While representatives claimed that Starfield was well-polished prior to release, that doesn't always mean it'll be the truth in practice when the game is played across systems with varying specs and performance. The first new universe from Bethesda in over two decades enables the exploration of space using a variety of backgrounds, including File Not Found in Starfield. The combination of background and traits in character creation results in narrative and dialogue options that result in a unique story that takes place across the galaxy. Starfield is a game that sets high expectations for itself, and part of the hype comes from the expectation that it can run without game-breaking issues disrupting the experience. Starfield's Graphics Surpass Fallout And Skyrim Starfield has received rave reviews from players and critics. Environments are beautiful and detailed, and while there's room for improvement in the graphics, the game isn't riddled with glitches like Fallout 4 was at release. This feat is particularly impressive because when comparing Bethesda titles, two of them have had abundant time to receive patches and be improved to reach their current state. Starfield runs well enough even on its lowest-spec platform - Xbox Series S - and is visually pleasing even before it's had the chance to be patched and polished. The knock-on effect is that the game is more enjoyable without the distraction of glitches or graphical errors that break immersion.Unlike its predecessors, Starfield is not riddled with game-breaking bugs or glitches that break immersion. Major bugs associated with Bethesda games, such as Companions or Quests glitching, have been ironed out or nearly nonexistent. Other issues, such as items getting stuck in walls, odd facial animations, and invisible companions during conversations still exist, but they aren’t as dismal as Fallout 4’s infamous glitches and are pretty rare. - Screen Rant's Starfield Review Starfield Has Room For Improvement With Performance Although Bethesda has delivered a game that functions well enough and looks decent compared to the graphics of Fallout or Skyrim at release, the graphics don't look as good as they could considering modern capabilities and compared with other recent releases. It's possible that the size of Starfield played a role in this, but that doesn't mean that graphical updates can't be added through future patches. That's true with the bugs that are present as well. While not game-breaking, Starfield does have glitches and can drop frames during more intense sections. Starfield isn't perfect, but it's clear that Bethesda learned from Fallout and Skyrim to produce a game that's polished and fairly detailed, which is impressive given the scale of the map. Yet, there's more work to be done if developers want to iron out the glitches that made it into Starfield, and the graphics could be touched up, seeing as they look like they were downgraded at some point during development, given the images from a year or two again and the released product. But in the end, Bethesda beat the graphics and performances of Fallout and Skyrim with their release of Starfield.
