Who taught Dexter the Code? ASergeant Doakes BHarry Morgan CAngel Batista DJames Doakes ✓ Correct! Harry Morgan, Dexter’s adoptive father and a Miami homicide detective, recognized Dexter’s dark urges early and taught him “The Code of Harry” — a set of rules to ensure he only kills other murderers and never gets caught. ✗ Sloppy work!

NEXT → QUESTION 2 / 8FORENSICS 02 Dexter works at Miami Metro Police Department as a forensic specialist. What is his specific area of expertise? AFingerprint analysis BBallistics CBlood spatter analysis DDNA profiling ✓ Correct! Blood spatter analysis — the irony of a serial killer who specializes in blood at crime scenes is central to the show’s dark humor.

Dexter uses his expertise to both solve cases and cover his own tracks. ✗ Sloppy work! The answer is blood spatter analysis. It’s the defining irony of the show — Miami’s most prolific serial killer is the department’s blood expert.

His knowledge helps him commit perfect murders and clean up without leaving evidence. NEXT → QUESTION 3 / 8MIAMI METRO 03 Sergeant Doakes was the only person at Miami Metro who instinctively distrusted Dexter from the start, famously confronting him. What was Doakes’ iconic catchphrase directed at Dexter? A“I’ve got my eye on you” B“Something’s off about you” C“Surprise, motherf***er” D“You’re not fooling anyone” ✓ Correct!

“Surprise, motherf***er! ” became one of TV’s most iconic lines, delivered by Erik King as Sergeant James Doakes. His gut feeling about Dexter was right all along, making him one of the show’s most tragically correct characters. ✗ Sloppy work!

The answer is “Surprise, motherf***er. ” Erik King’s delivery of this line as Doakes became a cultural phenomenon and internet meme. Doakes was the one person who saw through Dexter’s mask from the very beginning.

The Season 4 finale — where Arthur kills Rita — is considered one of the most shocking moments in television history. ✗ Sloppy work!

The answer is Arthur Mitchell. George King is from Season 3, Oliver Saxon is the Season 8 villain, and Brian Moser is the Season 1 Ice Truck Killer. Lithgow’s portrayal of Arthur Mitchell earned him an Emmy and is regarded as one of TV’s all-time great villain performances.

ADetective BSergeant CLieutenant DCaptain ✓ Correct! Debra rises through the ranks from detective to Lieutenant of Miami Metro Homicide.

Her promotion to Lieutenant is a major plot point, and her gradual discovery of Dexter’s true nature becomes one of the show’s most emotionally devastating storylines. ✗ Sloppy work! The answer is Lieutenant. Debra starts as a vice detective, becomes a homicide detective, then rises to Lieutenant.

Her professional growth mirrors the show’s escalating tension as she gets closer and closer to uncovering her brother’s secret. AJim Lindsay BJim Patterson CDan Morgan DJack Morgan ✓ Correct!

Dexter goes by “Jim Lindsay” in the fictional town of Iron Lake, New York, where he works at a local fish and game shop. The name “Lindsay” is an easter egg — Jeff Lindsay is the author of the Dexter book series that inspired the show. ✗ Sloppy work! The answer is Jim Lindsay.

The alias is a clever nod to Jeff Lindsay, the author who created Dexter in the novel “Darkly Dreaming Dexter. ” In Iron Lake, Dexter tries to suppress his Dark Passenger but is inevitably drawn back to killing.

↻ CLEAN UP Speaking to ScreenRant's Liam Crowley at Dexter: Resurrection's FYC event, Jack Alcott, who is known as Harrison Morgan in Dexter: New Blood and Dexter: Resurrection, about the upcoming season, including Harrison's big career update and how it could honor his on-screen auntie Debra Morgan and her memory which Alcott states his co-star Hall gave him a valuable piece of advice regarding his character. ScreenRant: So Harrison, we know he's going to be joining the police force in season 2.

Would you say this is a bit of a way to keep Deb's legacy alive in the sequel series? Jack Alcott: I'll be honest, I hadn't thought about that, but I think the answer is yes.

I mean, I think if it applies to any reason that Harrison could have made this choice, the answer is yes, because I've had multiple conversations with Michael where he said,"If you're ever worried or thinking about a choice that a character has to make or how a character might feel about a given moment, is it one or the other? The answer should always be both.

" That's what makes this show great. That's what makes his character so spectacular is that he can't help himself from trying to have his cake and eat it too. He is a lizard brain serial killer, but he is also human. He does experience love.

He does want to be a father. He has all these things. Is it a way to sort of keep Deb's legacy alive? I think for the show, for the writers, and maybe a little bit for Harrison.

I'm just going to say yes. Absolutely. In season 1 of Dexter: Resurrection, Harrison ends the season by sharing that he will be attending school to study and become a police officer despite the obvious negativity associated with his father Dexter's serial killer tendencies and Harrison's own dark passenger looming in the background.

In recently seen set photos, it appears a time jump occurs as Alcott has been spotted wearing a police uniform, clearly hard at work in his new career. Debra Morgan was a foul-mouthed and fiercely protective adoptive sister to Dexter and was a Miami-Metro police detective before sacrificing her morals after finding out who her brother truly is and ultimately dying a tragic death at the hands of a serial killer.

Her character returned in Dexter: New Blood as a manifestation often used by Dexter's inner conscience that is usually the role of his adoptive father, Harry Morgan. It's unclear if Carpenter or Deb will ever return to the franchise as Dexter's own manifestation, but Harrison's new role as a police officer will continue the Morgan legacy and perhaps will help Dexter in enacting justice against murderers who escape justice at the hands of the law.
