On Thursday, nearly five months after winning their second World Series title, the club showed it had studied up on the best way to unveil a championship banner.
Much like it did throughout the 30-minute pregame ceremony, the crowd popped for the newest addition above the stadium's train tracks. Dusty Baker, who won his first title at 73 years old, might have elicited the largest praise when, while standing at home plate between the franchise's two World Series trophies and in front of an infield covered in a giant 2022 World Champions banner, the savvy veteran goaded the crowd.
