A Twitter DM and the promise of money: An American Putin critic tells us how they became an unwitting tool of a Russian state influence operation

Peace Data, for its part, denies being Russian propaganda at all, posting a statement on Tuesday claiming to be "shocked and appalled" at the accusation.
