Ansar Allah, also known as the Houthis, insists on continuous operations against Israel until the conflict in Gaza ceases. The group carries out missile and drone strikes, targeting Israeli infrastructure and vessels.
A source within Yemen's Ansar Allah movement, also known as the Houthis, has warned Israel that its operations will continue until the aggression on Gaza stops. The source told Newsweek, 'Our hand is longer than the hand of Israel , and we will continue our operations without stopping until the aggression on Gaza stops,' adding, 'And we will continue targeting the Zionist war criminals.
' The remarks came after the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced new airstrikes targeting sites across Yemen, including the Hizaz power station in Sanaa, military infrastructure in Al-Hodeidah and port facilities in Ras Isa. The IDF said, 'The State of Israel has the right and obligation to defend itself.' Ansar Allah has emerged as one of the most powerful factions of the Iran-led Axis of Resistance, joining the war launched by Hamas against Israel. The group has also targeted commercial vessels accused of doing business with Israel. The IDF called the Houthi regime 'a central part of the Iranian axis of terror,' accusing them of destabilizing the region and the wider world. Ansar Allah has defied strikes by Israel, the United Kingdom, and the United States to maintain operations. The group has also announced direct attacks against the U.S. military presence, downing several advanced drones and claiming a new operation against the USS Harry S. Truman aircraft carrier. While hopes for a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas were initially raised last month, the two sides remain deadlocked. President-elect Donald Trump has warned that 'all hell will break loose in the Middle East' if a deal to release hostages held by Hamas was not reached before his inauguration
