Houston weather: Overnight thunderstorms could linger into Tuesday morning

If you're in a place prone to street flooding, you might want to take extra care tonight, according to the National Weather Service. The greatest chance for excessive rainfall are near Interstate 10 and points south.There is a marginal chance for severe weather and excessive rainfall across the Houston area overnight, especially after midnight.
A cold front could bring rain, hail, strong winds and street flooding.Showers, and possibly thunderstorms, will linger through the morning and a chance for showers will continue into Tuesday night. Highs will be in the 70s.Wednesday will be mostly cloudy in the morning, with the sun coming out later in the day. Thunderstorms could return again on Thursday, Saturday or Sunday. Regardless, skies will likely stay cloudy through the end of the week.
