The Houston Texans organized an event Friday at The Alamo for San Antonio-area Texans fans ahead of Saturday’s AFC wild-card playoff game against the Los Angeles Chargers.

More than 100+ fans came out to see Toro, the Texans’ mascot, along with former Texans cornerback and safety Marcus Coleman.original 11 legend Marcus Coleman took pictures with members of the San Antonio Texans Fan Club. You’ll hear from this excited group at 10 p.m. onColeman and Mike McLeod, the president of the Houston Texans Fan Club of San Antonio, reflected on how much the fanbase has grown outside of the Greater Houston area.
“They show that they’re committed to the fan base. Not only San Antonio but all over Texas,” McLeod said. “So, I’m just blown away by their commitment and the fans’ commitment here in San Antonio. People never used to believe that we had fans here, and now we’re showing them that this is Texans Country.”
“It really just kind of shows you the community we have,” Coleman said, in part. “You want to play well for the fans and, obviously, you play well for yourself. But you know you want to play well for the fans and the organization, too, so to have that continued support is awesome.”Nick Mantas is a KSAT 12 Sports Editor.
