The Houston Roughnecks look to obtain its first win of the season against the Michigan Panthers at Ford Field on Sunday on ABC13.
In the first quarter, Roughnecks quarterback Reid Sinnett rushed for a one-yard touchdown and connected to wide receiver Emmanuel Butler for a two-point conversion to put Houston up, 8-0. Panthers kicker Jacob Bates kicked a 46-yard field goal attempt to narrow the lead, 8-3.
In the second quarter, Panthers quarterback E.J. Perry rushed for two-yards to put Michigan up, 9-8. After suffering back-to-back losses in the first two games of the season, Houston will need to play with a sense of urgency in Week 3 to get back to winning ways. Roughnecks quarterback Reid Sinnett has been named the starter for Sunday's game after Week 2 starter Jarrett Guarantano was listed out with a chest injury.
