A man was shot dead in south Houston after getting into an argument at a party early Sunday, according to Houston Police Department officials. Police officers were called to 7903 Bowen St. around 3:35 a.m. after receiving multiple reports of a shooting at the home, Houston police Lt. Ignacio Izaguirre told On Scene TV reporters. When officers entered the home, they found"a young man with a gunshot wound to the head," he said. The man, whose name and age had not been released as of Sunday morning later was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.

Authorities said several people were at the house at the time of the shooting, but they fled when officers arrived. Police believe the house was being rented out through Airbnb or another rental service and it was being used for a social gathering when an argument broke out, leading to the shooting.
