Gentry was killed in a drive-by shooting on March 30 in the affluent River Oaks neighborhood. Houston police were called at 6:10 p.m. to a parking garage in the 2100 block of Mid Lane, where they found Gentry with at least one gunshot wound.Houston Police Chief Troy Finner said the shooting appeared to have been a targeted attack. Gentry’s family said they belive the shooting was retaliation for another fatal shooting that occurred at Gentry’s downtown San Antonio apartment in February.on Feb.
Gentry’s girlfriend shot and killed Richardson after the man allegedly tried to rob the couple at gunpoint in their home. Gentry showed no remorse in the aftermath to the shooting, appearing in a YouTube interview where he described the shooting in graphic and profanity-laced detail. In the roughly 30-minute video, Gentry recalled that he told Richardson “I hope you die” as he left the man bleeding on the floor.The San Antonio-rapper also posted photos on social media of himself in his still blood-soaked apartment with the bullet-ridden door in view after Richardson’s body was removed.
