Houston mayor John Whitmire said at least four people died after a powerful storm caused power outages, flooding and gas leaks.
At least four people died as a result of Thursday evening's powerful storm in Houston , according to Mayor John Whitmire 's office. Houston police Friday morning were investigating two deaths caused by falling trees, a third that came when a crane fell on a cement truck and a fourth with an undetermined cause of death, according to Christopher Hassig, commander of the department's homicide division. A powerful thunderstorm tore over Houston starting around 6:30 p.m.
