Houston Latino Film Festival returns with first full-capacity event since COVID

The biggest edition yet of the annual get-together features more than 70 features and shorts at MATCH starting March 15

"It's just a nice change of pace from everything else that we show.," he says."There's no narration, no dialogue. It's a beautiful portrait of native communities...The images are just captivating. I mean, you look at some of these stills and think 'My gosh, these are like a set of photographs or portraits.' Just a gorgeous film.

As for changes to this year's festival -- the first at full-capacity since the pandemic; last year's was capped at 75 per-cent -- Cebrero says organizers dispensed with the concept of having a party altogether.
