Houston GOP activist Steven Hotze booted from Texas Senate after calling trans supporters 'pedophiles'

Four bills targeting transgender youth and adults were on the state affairs committee's agenda Thursday, including one that would ban gender-affirming care for minors. Most major medical associations classify transition care as medically necessary.
