Houston girls soccer high school power rankings: Bridgeland takes over as new No. 1
Bridgeland players Analyah Robinson, Madeline Benker and Brooke Hensley have had plenty to celebrate of late.The Houston Chronicle's weekly area high school girls soccer power rankings. Rankings are based on overall and recent performances, quality wins, strength of schedule and team accomplishments.Boasting an 11-match win streak, the Bears take over the top spot after routing Cypress Park 8-0 and scoring nine goals against Cypress Falls.
Seven Lakes continues league play Tuesday against Mayde Creek and visits Jordan on Friday.The Highlanders have won seven straight, routing New Caney 8-0 and Conroe 8-1 to improve to 10-0-1 in 13-6A action. Next is a Tuesday home match with Grand Oaks, the only district team to tie The Woodlands, followed by a Friday trip to Cleveland.The Cougars continue to pile up 15-6A victories, extending their winning streak to 10 with a 7-0 shutout of Waller and a 2-1 win against their crosstown rival.
