Houston firefighters are on the scene of a large, 3-alarm fire in northwest Houston on Clay Road.
Firefighters have finished putting out a 3-alarm fire in northwest Houston after a recycling plant went up in flames off Clay Road near Blalock. FOX 26's Matthew Seedorff was at the scene with more info.According to the department on Twitter, firefighters performed extinguishing efforts on a fire at 9590 Clay Road at a waste management facility. The fire had been upgraded to 3-alarm, officials say.
"Thank God the firefighters showed up, because all of this brush back here started catching," said Greathouse. "We were afraid of it because this building has a bunch of chemicals and ours does as well."
