Cy-Fair ISD hosted a quadruple-header of water polo regional quarterfinal games Tuesday at the CFISD Natatorium.The Bridgeland girls defeated Memorial 16-2 in the first of three Region II-6A quarterfinal matches.
Clara Koenig led Bridgeland with eight goals, Sarah Klussmann had three, and Jayden Cannon and Mikha Torres each added two. The Bears advanced to the third round by beating Alvin 13-3. “Our boys played great, came out with a lot of intensity on the defensive end, and put away shots,” Cypress Creek coach Jeff Chandler said.
“It’s a great feeling, the kids are excited,” Chandler said. “We’re just going to practice and play our game plan.”Cypress Ranch 11, Stratford 7“I thought the girls played really good, that game and the last one we had, they had to fight to win it and we’ve had a lot of girls step up and fill roles,” Cypress Ranch coach Ricky Carnicle said. “They’ve done a very good job of persevering to win these games.
