Man, 20, killed by suspected drunken driver after Taylor Swift concert, court documents show

A 20-year-old Katy man who attended the Taylor Swift concert Friday night died after being hit by a suspected drunken driver on the shoulder of the Southwest Freeway, according to court documents.hours earlier with his older sister, was struck after the car he was in stalled on the shoulder of Interstate 69 near Shepherd Drive early Saturday. He died at the scene, the Houston Police Department said in a tweet.

Alan Hayes, 34, is charged with driving while intoxicated and failing to stop and render aid after allegedly fleeing the scene, according to the court documents. After the incident, a bystander chased Hayes, who was arrested by police after a foot chase, police said. Hayes has been charged with driving while intoxicated twice before, once in Harris County in 2014 and again in 2018 in Brazoria County, court records show.
