Migrants seeking asylum in the United States arrive at newly built tents on Randall’s Island.
Donna SkjevelandThe “migrant” crisis in New York City and the tragic wildfires on Maui have a few things in common: They’re in deep-blue states, their awful circumstances have no political upside for Democrats and, at the highest government levels, they are being ignored by Dem politicians.been while more than 100,000 mostly unvetted border-crossers have flooded the Big Apple?
Why are Democrats paying so little attention to the horrific plight of their loyal constituents? Because they can. Can she personally vouch for all these illegals as fine, upstanding people? Did she check to see if each one was vetted before she lets them roam around our neighborhoods? Absolutely not. She knows nothing about them.Take them up to Albany — or, better yet, grow a pair and just say “no” to allowing any more illegal immigrants into our state.
To turn the city’s soccer fields and baseball diamonds into tent cities is morally wrong. Our kids deserve a mayor who would fight for them. You can solve some of the migrant housing problem in New York City by sending a few busloads to Wilmington and Rehoboth Beach in Delaware.
