Albay First District Rep. Edcel Lagman said on Thursday that the Absolute Divorce Bill or House Bill 9349 has been transmitted to the Senate after the Lower House had approved it on third and final reading.
In a statement, he said that the transmittal to the Senate “will not wait for the plenary action of the House when the sessions start on July 22, 2024 as previously announced by Velasco.” “One may not support the bill because one has a happy, loving, and normal family. What about those who have dysfunctional families?” Acosta asked.
