Voting 70-11, the House Committee on Legislative Franchises denied the consolidated bills which would have granted the company a new license to resume broadcast operations.
The hours-long deliberations shed light on topics hounding the company— including ownership and operational issues, and supposed tax liabilities, among others. ABS-CBN had refuted allegations hurled against them.
