Because that seems to be what Daemon intended when he brings her to a “pleasure house” where orgies are just part of the furniture. The night’s entertainment also includes a play — somewhat tamer, but more annoying. Rhaenyra watches, but doesn’t really appreciate the show, because in true “Game of Thrones” fashion, it’s all about the royals and the follies of succession. You know, the bane of her existence.
He knows he’s in good with Viserys for once, but that doesn’t seem entirely it, either. Sure, it would be a bad move politically to cross the king but it’s never stopped him before. Maybe the abject fear we see in his eyes has something to do with the fear of creating yet another heir from their ... entanglement? If either of them are going to land on the thorny throne, that would kind of put the kibosh on it.
Viserys dismisses the sighting as a lie, telling Otto it must be gossip driven by his own disingenuous ambitions. But he’s clearly peeved.
