BREAKING NEWS: The House will bring in eight more witnesses in its public impeachment inquiry against Donald Trump
The House Intelligence Committee announced a new slate of public hearings for its impeachment inquiry late Tuesday, scheduling eight witnesses for public appearances next week.
Gordon Sondland, the U.S. ambassador to the European Union, is expected to appear next Wednesday morning. Later Wednesday, the committee is scheduled to hear from Laura Cooper, a senior Pentagon official who handles Russia and Ukraine matters, and David Hale, the under secretary of state for political affairs.
The slate of witnesses is particularly notable because it features three of the witnesses requested by Republicans: Volker, Hale and Morrison.
